Labradorite

Labradorite is a plagioclase mineral. Labradorite exhibits a strong “labradorescence”, which is similar to a pearl effect which flashes color as light is refracted off its surface.

Labradorite has a Mohs Hardness of 6- 6.5 which is moderately hard on the Mohs Hardness scale which is based on a 1 to 10 scale. A Diamond is a 10 on hardness while Talc and Gypsum are a 1 and 2 respectively.
